Health Club

The Health Club (HC) sub-committee develops and manages the Health Club contract with Walden Cloud Group (WCG) to ensure we maintain a continuous service improvement program that maximises resident use and satisfaction with the pool and the gym.This contract covers the pool, gym and the tennis courts.

Under WCG ownership significant improvements have been made for residents including more classes, more customer focused staff, free tennis court access for residents and extended hours of operation.

WCG improvement started in October 2017 and led to significant improvement in resident attendance and satisfaction with the HC. This was highlighted in the results from the March 2018 resident HC survey.

  • 71% believe that the HC provides good value for money (up from 56% in 2014);
  • 81% believe that the HC adds value to their property (up from 67% in 2014);
  • 74% would prefer the OC to continue to pay for resident access (up from 58% in 2014);

Contract negotiations are in progress for 2018/2019 to sustain these improvements and extend them by:

  • providing an additional space for group exercise classes;
  • developing a sub-leasing register and exchange procedures for HC access to be managed by the membership co-ordinator;
  • Cap hire group contracts for the pool, gym and tennis courts at existing levels;
  • Undertake and annual safety and maintenance audit of all gym equipment;
  • Extend the capability of the new door lock system to register member attendance.

Health Club operating hours are 6am to 8.45pm, 7 days a week.

Gym & Pool Use
The Health Club is a shared facility and Member access to the pool and gym may be impacted by either pool lane hire or classes. Members should consider the following schedules when using the Health Club & Pool.
